Dear Doug, Compliance dates are different depending on the category your enterprise is in. The earliest compliance dates get traction in November of this year. More information about SOX is available here: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/ITstandards/source/1.html The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has published an extensive 'official' interpretation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The standards are known as PCAOB, pronounced "peek-a-boo." Here is more information: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/pcaob/source/1.html We've developed some clever and affordable software products to address iSeries compliance for SOX, PCAOB, 21 CFR part 11, HIPAA, GLBA, and the rest of the compliance alphabet soup: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/socks/source.1.html More details about out "Stocking Stuffers for SOX" products: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/compliancecatalog/source/1.html Peace to you, Bob Kohlndorfer Unbeaten Path International North America: (888) 874-8008 International: (262) 681-3151 upi@xxxxxxxxxx www.unpath.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Hart" <DougHart@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 22, 2004 6:17 PM Subject: Sarbanes & Oxley Does anyone know if there is a date when companies must be SOX compliant? Also, what are the penalties, if any, for non-compliance? Our auditors are driving us nuts. I'd love to put them off until next Spring, or just pay the fines like you can do with OSHA if they are not to expensive. --- Doug Hart -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
