I think the problem may be due to that version of Java.  I just installed 
the old Microsoft JVM and can use the site fine using IE. 

Also, I think I only updates to 1.4.2_05 from 1.4.2_03 fairly recently. So 
maybe it is a problem with the latest version of the JVM from Sun?
