Going off on a tangent... I've had an issue where I have multiple sessions open and I do a copy from the record selection of one query into the record selection of another query and the columns don't line up. What's up with that? I've been accused of being a few PTF's short of a cume but honestly, I'm not seeing things. It took me forever to discover the Append and Next features. --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com --------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Date: 08/04/04 14:43:39 To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: iSeries Access and Copy/Paste I've recently had a few users report and oddity that I can't reproduce but seems to have some merit. I believe the only users reporting it are V5Rx users, if that helps. The problem appears to be the "clipboard filling up" and the Paste stops working. For instance, I have 2 separate sessions open and I'm Copying chunks of data from one session and Pasting it into the other session. At some point, you do your Copy but when you Paste, it either Pastes nothing or previous data you did a Copy on but not the most current. It gets a bit stranger because I went to a PC app (like Word) and I believe it pasted that correct thing I had copied, though. Furthermore, it possibly "clears itself up" if you shut down the session and start it back up. Anyone had such a thing happen?? -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
