Good example of why I hate fixed length. Given what you posted, I'd expect statement A to run. However, you also say "When I separated the if statements, it works correctly" What do you mean by this? If you mean you use: xprod ifne *blanks spprod ifne xprod splot ifne xplot //statement A and statement A runs, the I'd say the values you posted were incorrect.
