I am not arguing that there is a use for switching profiles. Vern had some good examples. And, Carel, we had a vendor that used to supply a program that only adopted the authority of QSECOFR and only did a CALL QCMD. They could do quite a bit with that. Therefore I understand what you are saying. I just wonder if it still makes sense to force you to switch profiles, versus adopting authority, on certain 'traditional' applications.
