While I have not tried to get V5R3 to run on my 150, I do have V5R2 running
on it. Since the 150 OS license can't be upgraded to V5R1, your only choice
is to either license a full copy of a current OS or install and poke around
for 70 days and then scratch load again. Buying a V5R2 license make sense
(~$2500), especially if you won't be able to go to V5R3.

It's my understanding that V5R1 was the end of the line for the 150.

I was pondering installing v5r3 on my little 150 just for giggles (and
practice). I was going to install a spare disk as drive zero and pretend
I'm doing a full scratch install. Reading the install docs, it says the
model 150 is "unsupported".

Unsupported I don't care about. This is just for practice. When I'm done
playing, I'll reconnect the current set of drives and be back to v4 where I
started.

CAN v5r3 be installed on a 150 or will the install process not even work?
Has anyone tried it?
