Also, while any *SAVF (or tape save, for that matter) can be restored to a
later release, and can be saved to as early a release as was specified
when the save was done, you can't go backwards any further than the
machine you're saving on will permit (though you can "walk it back"
through several machines, if necessary; I've done it myself), and you
can't restore non-observable *PGMs across the architecture boundary (i.e.,
CISC/IMPI to RISC/PowerPC, or vice versa).
