× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Sure, bind in an ILE RPG module that does the random retreive.  You can
always code the ILE RPG to leave the file open for performance sake.

I know that we can sequentially read a PF from CL program using RCVF.
Can I do a random retrieval from a CL program (something like a Chain in
RPG program)?
