Caroline, I remember a while ago we had some issues with files being sent at month-end. Here are some suggestions from the midrange list for checking if a file transfer has completed; "Attempt to MOV the file to another folder for processing. The MOV will fail if the file is still locked. I simply build a 'Process' folder as a child of the folder containing the files. Another nice feature is to then MOV it to a 'Archive' folder after processing." Another idea to be sure file transfer is complete : "I had a similar problem on UNIX systems with FTP. My solution was to send a second little file after first one. As I know, FTP works in synchronous mode. So if the same task from the sender sends 2 files one after the other, second file will arrive only when the first one's transfer has ended. So when second file is present on receiver, first transfer must be complete."
