A quick review of prior posts suggests that some iSeries shops have used (or at
least evaluated)
PGP. Does anyone have anything they can share with respect to any of the PGP
components
they've used? I'm currently exploring using the OpenPGP Java classes from
BouncyCastle
as a possible encryption/decryption solution across platforms (not just
iSeries). As it provides
support for both PBE (Password Based Encryption) and Key infrastructures, we're
thinking it's
PBE support might provide effective protection without the complexities and
issues (mostly political)
of constructing an enterprise-wide CERT infrastructure.

Your feedback and comments are appreciated.

BTW:

If anyones interested, I have a working RPG prototype which demonstrates using
BouncyCastle's OpenPGP
java classes for PBE, which I'd be happy to post......
