Terry, That could be. I would guess the latency of large networks would be a culprit in this maybe ? We are fairly small and if I (inadvertently) stick a deice on the wire I get a message pronto that it is already in use (I'm not normally that stupid, but this was back a few years ago when I was setting up a BUNCH of new PC's and had a range of specific addresses limited to the hub I was using in the "lab" and I overlooked resetting a "done" devices IP to what it would be at a remote site and got dinged by that...).
