Thank you Vern! Sorry if I have nt written properly. I mean to say that next incoming file has to wait automatically, while first incoming file in process of receiving ? Would be really greatful if you can tell me the previous discussion topics on this! I can go to archives and pick up the mails...It is keep checking file in the library or FTP.. Thanks, Murali. You could check for locks on it. A process that is writing to a physical file will hold a lock on it, perhaps exclusive, perhaps share-no update. How do you detect that the file has arrived? I would think of an exit program for FTP, perhaps, that could tell you it is coming. Otherwise, you can keep checking the library for a new file. Or something else. I think there've been discussions here on how to do this. There is save while active on the various save commands. Check out the help on that parameter, then go to the backup & recovery manual to get more details. You'll need to know the implications.
