I have some 'classic' machines that I would be willing to part with...
They're BIG. They're HEAVY. They're in the Boston area (Hopkinton, MA,
actually, about 25 miles west of Boston).

If anyone can come and get one or both, they're FREE!!!

The first is an E45 with 80MB (full up!!) 34GB disk (the internals and
one 9337-480 (8 4GB drives). 1GB QIC tape drive and a dual drive 8mm
(made by IPL). I also have another 9337 in the attic - eight 1GB
drives. This machine was my first AS/400 (sniff sniff). Started as a
B40 and has worked great ever since. Soldered all my own twinax cable
and everything. Ahhh, the good old days. V3R2, RPG, SQL, Query, C,
etc. Has an Ethernet card. Single rack.

The second machine is a C20 (for those of you that aren't old enough -
that's the 'little' one - about the size of a 2 drawer filing cabinet).
Eight... that's right... EIGHT MB of main storage. QIC525. Four 320MB
drives. I hadn't turned it on in over 3 years. Fired it up recently
and to my amazement IT STILL WORKS. V3R2, RPG, SQL, Query, C, etc.

If anyone is interested, send an email to dshea@xxxxxxxxxxxx .

In case it turns out that no one is interested, does anyone know how I
might get rid of these things?
