Al, HMC has been in the AIX area for about a year now. It has a good track record there. S/390 has had HMC like capability as well but it was based on OS/2 for a time. HMC may be new to the i5, but it has been around awhile in terms of a concept. HMC running Linux has to be be better than Ops Console from the standpoint that IBM can control it much better than they could Windows.
