You will also position yourself further up the technology curve with an i5. If you were going to do any LPAR, I would definitely want an i5 over an 810. Drawbacks are you need V5R3 for the i5, and cant order it till approximately end of June. Also, if you have a 720 box, there is a rebate on upgrades to some 8xx boxes, which may discount the 810 even more.
