That is the best solution. In fact, if you have an old computer laying around (who doesn't?) slap in 2 NICs then install IPCop (http://www.ipcop.org). It is a linux based firewall distribution. It is easy to use and understand for the firewall stupid. Plus you can't beat the cost and it is very stable. It has decent web-based configuration tool that is pretty easy to use.
