Jim,

CRTMSGQ QSYS/QSYSMSGQ  (I think that's the right name and lib, it's been a
while).
Anyway the system will place a copy of  "selected" messages from QSYSOPR
like your CPF1393
in there as well as QSYSOPR. Now you can a simple CL to monitor that msgq
and it won't tie up
the QSYSOPR msgq.

API to scan QSYSOPR for entries.






Is there a quick/painless API that would allow us to scan the QSYSOPR
message queue

and search for a particular message (i.e. CPF1393).



I am looking to create a process that alerts me when people get
disabled.
