If you are dealing with SDA menus for example, you can:

Step #1) Exit as you will usually do and look for the "PROMPT FOR 
PARAMETERS" parameter.  Select "Y" in that one.

Step #2) Look for the COMMAND LINE parameter (CMDLIN) and enter *NONE to 
have no command line on the menu.
