Hi Oliver

I'm guessing you are on V5R2. I have also experienced a problem where attempts to delete files are refused. The QPWFSRVS-something job generally reports that the documents is locked by another user. You can track it back to the correct by doing a DSPDLONAM on the file you are trying to delete and then a WRKOBJLCK on the returned OS/400 object in QDOC. Ending this job or Netserver will release the lock but nothing else that I have come across will.

I logged a software support call with IBM; they have verified that there is a bug and informed me that a PTF will be available approx 7th May. Sorry I don;t have any numbers handy :)

Evan Harris

Hello,

I have an interesting problem here.

We have some text documents (created by users) in the folder \QDLS\RATIOP.
Until some time ago, users had no problems handling these files, but as of
now,
they can't delete them anymore.

When I map the folder as a network drive, I can clear and rename the file,
but not
delete it. It says file is being used by another user or program.

Authority check in OpsNav and wrklnk says I have *all authority on the
file.

Also, when I go through OpsNav, File Systems , I can delete the file
there!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Oliver
