That I do not know definitively but I would assume that V5R3 will work
regardless of what type of equipment you are running.  I think the issue
with SPD will be with the new hardware platform and not necessarily the OS.
I've just ridded myself of the last bit of SPD in my shop so I have not
been paying close attention to that.

Hopefully, someone else has the definitive answer.
