remotely manage ptfs

Have task to remotely manage
ptfs for several different customers via internet.
These are very small shops with no IT staff, 
we are not the Business Partner (we are the 
only app software vendor for these customers).
Probably a qtr or semi annual update of cume & groups.
Rare single ptf may be required, mostly for tcp printing. 
Would appreciate comments from others who do this. 
Is Management Central the way to go? FTP also avail.
Download from IBM vs cd's?
Is IBM now charging for the cd's?
