RTVDSKINF will retrieve the size of every object on the system, including
folder and IFS files. I'm not sure if the command runs with adopted
authority, or if it will skip stuff when run under a user without authority
to retrieve size on all objects. We always run it as QSECOFR.

Multi-membered files are locked while size is being calculated (or while the
member list is being retrieved). For files with many, many members we've
had problems with RTVDSKINF locking the files for too long. Production jobs
would bomb when they could not ADDPFM, RMVM, etc. within the wait time for
the jobs' classes.

We time our weekly RTVDSKINF so that the big files and big production libs
hit during off-peak hours.
