RE: Save files used to download and install PTF's

If you have multiple systems and keep the savf's you can use iSeries
Navigator to transfer ptf's from system to system, even sync systems so the
ptf levels are the same.

If you have just one system and are short on space I don't think they're
necessary.

Morning all.
 
The Systems Manager and I are in dis-agreement on whether or not a save file
used to download & install PTF's needs to remain on the system once the
PTF's have been applied.   
 
I say the save files are NOT needed - the systems manager says that the save
files ARE needed. Can someone please give me the definitive answer.
