  The network drop has been installed for the Linux LPAR.

  The IP address is 172.25.1.100  (zLinux01.mmc.org), I was able to PING it.

  I was told NOT to use telnet to connect because results are unpredictable.
  It is recommended to use "PuTTY"  (free download) -
          http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
 or "VNC". I have not downloaded "PuTTY" or "VNC" yet.

  The LPAR is running.   You can contact me for the root password.
   PSR contact is Bill Held - 781-830-1307.

The original Linux volume restore was 12 3490 cartridges and it had an error 
(typo) in it (which Bill Held had me correct in the LPAR).  I have backed the 
volume up using DoctorD (used 2 3490 cartridges).
