The majority of the conference is at the Convention Center. But all
volunteer rooms, HQ etc. are probably going to be in the Royal York hotel (I
think ) - which among other things, means that there is a bit of a walk
between the convention venues and the hotel. At least it is all indoors if
you want - but unless they have changed the layout down there recently, you
have to go though Union Station. There are still people from a 1987
Shriner's convention wandering about down there!

That's not really too much of a walk, maybe 400m. Sure, you can walk indoors if you want, but the sidewalk is definitely faster.

For the benefit of others, Google turned up a good map of downtown Toronto at <http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/ttc/pdf/downtown.pdf>. The convention center is in grid Y5, the Royal York is across the street from Union Station in grid Y6.

Cheers! Hans
