Tom Yager is not omniscient. "When AIX crumbles, can the Power product line be far behind? Power can't run Windows, and customers won't extend AIX's pedigree to an OS written by a gang of kids'. <- This comment in particular shows a bit of ignorance, methinks. Lots of Unix shops have converted to Linux. Unless he just means they won't want to give it a Unix honorific. He lost credibility with me with his article "Getting Past 1984", where he tries to convince the reader that embedded chips have no Orwellian overtones. - Alan
