I didn't until you mentioned it. Originally, when I created this field in SDA, I just specified the Keyboard shift attribute of 'Y', and when SDA returned to the work screen, it showed the field as "999.9999", so I thought I was done. I added EDTCDE(3) and all is well. Still, I wonder why SDA displayed it the way it did. ????????? Thanks James! GA --- "James W.
