Basically, however it supports the Lexlink protocol that OS/400 has had support for built in for many years now, that provides a much higher level of control over the printer - basically equivalent to a twinax attached printer. You configure it with the MAC address. The only problem is the Lexlink protocol isn't routable so it's restricted to your local LAN. For WAN the Lexmark MarkNet print servers can also handle LPR/LPD with TCP/IP support.
