Oh, *CTLD, not WRKHDWRSC stuff. That's different. And I'd be willing to bet that you did do the RSTCFG if you have these additional ones. It's buried under the covers on GO RESTORE - 21. Just blasting these using WRKCTLD - option 4 to delete should be fine. I have a tendency to do an option 8 for config status, then an option 8 for device description on each device under the now defunct controller, to blast the devices. Beats leaving the orphans running around. In fact the Backup and Recovery Guide has several cautions >regarding this. Well, I believe we did a scratch install from CD and then restored all the stuff from the last 820 full backup. I don't believe we did a rstcfg then. But, for example, the 810 has two twinax controllers and we now have two additional *ctld from the 820. So, we had to "migrate" all devices from CTL03 (old 820) to the new CTL02 from the 810.
