Re: Auto Tuning

I would have to say that nearly every comment in this thread has (at least
some) truth to it.  As always in tuning the answer is "It depends."  No one
solution is going to work the same on every system.

My comment is before you go and blame QPFRADJ for anything, or worse, make
changes that undo its work; see what part of the whole picture you're
looking at.  On our Prod system (with our workload, yours will be different)
the total response time breaks down into 10% CPU, 10% DASD IO, 5% Faulting
and 75% Exceptional Wait.

In my particular case, no matter how much Memory pool tuning I do I will not
reduce my total response time more than 5%.

Don't shoot me, I'm just the piano tuner....
