Far easier to configure than the Digital Certificate Manager. ssh also allows you to securely forward any port. You can also have password-less secure authentication. You also get scp (Secure CoPy). This fills the needs of the posters who have asked about secure ftp. It also protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. You can specify what user to connect as. With password-less secure authentication you can script communications without putting the password in the script. ssh may be the most important tool for network communications.
