William,

look at message desc. SQL7008 in QSQLMSG in QSYS, look at the second level
text and check whether your error meets any of the error codes shown.

cheers

Subject: SQL error

I'm trying to execute an SQL INSERT from Net.Data and I'm getting the
following error message:

The statement failed. CUSTLIST in TSTLIB not valid for operation. (SQLSTATE
55019, SQLCODE -7008)

The manual says this message indicates "The table is in an invalid state for
the operation." I have no idea what that means.

The statement works from a STRSQL command line.

I first thought the problem was a security issue, since the transactions are
being run under different user IDs. So I checked all authorities to the
library and file to confirm that me and the servers have equal authority.
Any suggests where I should check next?

I know you're lurking out there, Bruce.
