If it helps, I have a utility called TNAPI (telnet API) which allows you to
run interactive jobs in batch.

        Manuals can be found at InfoCenter, I believe. The one you want is 
        Asynchronous Communications Programming.

        STRITF is mostly a way to test various aspects of asynch
communications. 
        You can try various data strings to your heart's content.
