Also speaking for myself, I believe Mr. Phillips has been out of work for some time and has recently stated (or at least suggested) that he's finding some opportunities. The Application Display Programming manual you cited is all he needs.

So, learn the keywords that apply to subfiles. And try to find a system to practice a little - I think Buck Calabro or someone on the list has a system where time can be rented reasonably (I don't remember the context, so can't suggest what to search on in the archives). Then take the examples and type them in yourself, not copy-paste.

I just hope Rob P. has actually used these in the past - trying to learn a few buzzwords to get through an interview usually won't work, and, if it does, will come back to bite you when your employer finds out you oversold yourself. I know.

Job-related stuff may be get better results posted on that other list.

Good luck to Rob P.

Rob Phillips,

Perhaps I am speaking for myself, but I think you are starting to push a
few of our hot buttons. This flood of newbie general questions...

However...

Are you really looking to learn subfiles, or just know enough to pass an
interview?
If the former,

for the freebie
Or the midrange.com website for the bookstore for some other references.
If the latter:
What are the three types of subfiles:
- Load all
- Page at a time
- Expanding
