Barsa's Rule of Thumb on RCLSTG. It's never necessary to do a Save Option 21 prior to RCLSTG, because it always works perfectly. (If you believe this, I have a bridge that goes from City Hall to Brooklyn that I would like to sell you.) Now, do your Save Option 21 first, because you can't be too safe. We are now on V5R1 preparing to go to V5R2 next month. Is it necessary to perform a system backup prior to doing a reclaim storage? I am not certain what all the reclaim storage does, so if it craps out in the middle, would we be stuck with our shorts down if we do not have a backup?
