Thanks a lot for all the answers. I had suggested that we might not be able to retrieve the deleted spool files. The PM contends that he has restored QSPL before, IBM is very iffy about this procedure. Just wanted to know if there was any truth to the suggestion. Unfortunately this is a situation where the users are not ready to lay out the money for a reasonable jukebox for backing spool files to, and when they are not available, it becomes mission-critical.
