Hi all, I don't know about you, but I'm concerned about this "offshoring" trend. I believe we're giving away the country, certainly the ability for all us "middle-class" to make a living in this country. Anyway, this magazine is going to publish an article on the subject. I thought some of you may be interested. ========================================================================= Those affected by outsourcing, L-1 and H-1b visas please contact Jean McGregor, Fast Company Magazine. jmcgregor@fastcompany 212-389-5445 She is looking to put significant focus on those affected. She's looking for 100 or so people. Also, They are also interested in people outside IT. Fast Company magazine is planning a major feature for an upcoming issue that looks at the offshoring trend and hopes to put a human face on this growing issue. In addition to a main story that will look at the issue in depth, we want to give the piece some real impact by including the photos of a large number of highly skilled workers who've lost their jobs to offshore outsourcing. Therefore, we're looking to speak to a diverse group of such people--either unemployed or re-employed--who would be willing to be photographed, share a few details about the job they lost and briefly discuss their general thoughts on the outsourcing trend and how it's affected their lives. If you're not interested in participating but know someone who might, please feel free to forward this. We need to speak to people by the end of next week (Jan. 23) but as soon as possible is always better. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
