Seth,

If you can configure Sybase to use DRDA, then you might (should) be able to
get DB2 to connect to it. DRDA is one of the standard communications
architectures used to connect databases. I am sure that Sybase can access
DRDA databases, just not sure if it can service DRDA requests from other
systems.

Subject: Calling Stored Procedure on Sybase from iSeries

Good morning, everyone.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use embedded SQL or SQL CLI to connect
to a Sybase environment and access a stored procedure returning a result set
from the iSeries (V5R2)?

Almost every bit of online information pertaining to remote stored procedure
interface views the iSeries as the server/host as opposed to the client.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Seth Lee
