Charles - I don't know if you're still having trouble with this, but here's my $.02 fwiw. What this message tells me is that the query is working fine (i.e. no decimal data errors, field type mismatches, syntax errors, etc.) -- it just doesn't find anything based on the selection criteria. When this happens to me, the reason is always some problem with the selection criteria -- wrong field name or value in a test, wrong join field, etc. Sometimes I can see it right away when I reinspect the query, but other times the only way I find it is by removing pieces until I find the offending one(s). Depending on the query, I'll either just knock one thing off at a time until I get something that works (returns results) and then build it back up again, or I'll start with something very generic and then gradually refine it. There's no magic bullet -- you just have to go through the thing step by step until you find it. hth. Good luck!
