RE: Using modems to connect two iSeries

It's probably a $500 cable...knowing IBM's over-engineering on
cables....probably weighs 25lbs and is 50 feet long!

A cable is -NEVER- "Too Long!" The extra length may be inconvenient to store, but the cable is never too long.

The corollary, of course, is that if a cable is too short, it is too short by six inches. (:

ps-- if a cable is 'long enough,' it ends with a connector of the wrong gender, or a totally unique type of connector.
