I've found the following statement as part of the V5R2 announcement

Model 150, 6xx, S10, S20, S30, S40 and SB1
        Not supported on the OS/400 release following V5R2
ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology
        Not supported on the OS/400 release following V5R2
