RCLSTG *DBXREF did solve the immediate problem with the DROP ALIAS that I originally posted on. But now we've noticed that a bunch of CPF32A6 messages have been issued, first with the ALIAS object on Monday, then with various other objects on the system since that time. Last night, our admin got the system to restricted state, did the RCLSTG *DBXREF, found that DROP ALIAS on the particular object worked, applied the latest DB2 group PTFs, IPL'd and applied the PTFs, system came up fine, but since then we've received 41 of these CPF32A6 messages, although no one has noticed any problems with the objects involved. The message recommends doing RCLSTG *DBXREF as a recovery action, so we'll do one again tonight, unless something happens that forces us to do it sooner. IBM's online support, searching for CPF32A6, shows 43 PTFs. I am downloading the cover letters now and see if I've got all 43 installed. (It would be nice if IBM's web site would allow one to do a Ctrl-C copy of the selections in the PTF list.) GA __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo!
