In addition to hardware configuration stuff, make sure that you've got the
software license keys for everything. I just got back from a visit to a
new client who did a "sorta scratch install", and he messed up a bunch of
stuff.

Subject: Scratch install from 820 to 810

Hiya,

we have just upgraded (hardware-wise) our hot-standby system (810) and
want to use it as our
production system (currently 820).

So I have a full backup from the 820 and want to scratch install the 810
from that tape. Are
there any gotchas in that case? Both systems are running V5R2.

Any tips?

Thanks,
Oliver
