If you find one of the troublesome device descriptions and look at the
object authorities for that object, you should find your problem.  In the
case of your original post, it was QPADEV001T which didn't work.  If your
emulation sessions are configured to randomly grab an available device, the
problem may appear to be random.  The same user might successfully get a
session one day and then fail the next.  But between the authorities granted
to the *DEVD objects and the characteristics of the users, you should be
able to track it down.

If you use EDTOBJAUT *DEVD QPADEV001T (or similar syntax) you should be able
to find the pattern.
