Funny thing about me & the list data ... I don't want it out of my control. I'm a fairly trusting person, but when it comes to the lists, I really want direct physical control over the systems they are running on.

then could you install Mailman on the netshare400 system using the OS/400 port of Python? (see http://home.no.net/pgummeda/)

Haven't ever thought about that ... I'd need to port sendmail also (or some other similar MTA) though.

You want to work on that development effort in your spare time? ;)
