I'm running Client Access client V5R2 and accessing an AS400 running V4R5. I can connect and establish sessions (usually 4) and then suddenly I cannot establish any more. I get status bar msgs stating a) Local socket is connecting ... b) Failed connecting to remote server/host timeout has reached ... c) Hostname not specified or not found I know that TCPIP and Telnet are working fine because I can get some sessions running successfully. Is there some configuration either on the 400 end or the PC end that might prevent additional sessions from connecting. Sometimes I try an hour later and can get another session, other times not. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason but I can always get at least 1. On our other AS400, I can get as many sessions as I want. barbara bjmlv@xxxxxxx
