I am currently using the free JDBC driver from Microsoft to access a SQL Server database from the iSeries using Java. So far I haven't run into any problems using it. The client I'm working with is a dental insurance company that purchased a product for their HIPAA complience that keeps a repository on a SQL Server database. I'm inserting and updating records based on information in their iSeries database. This is on a V5R2 system, but should work on any previous release that supports java. If you have any questions or would like to see sample code let me know. What are the options today on a V5R2 system? Thank _____________________ Kirk Goins CCNA Systems Engineer, Manage Inc.
