I would believe QTEMP. However, if you are an RPG shop, I like the EXTFILE('QTEMP/MYFILE') USROPN option better. Self documenting. Benjamin Franklin fkany@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 10/23/2003 11:16 AM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx cc Subject OVRDBF If a CL program uses OVRDBF FILE(X_LIBRARY/X_FILE) TOFILE(QTEMP/X_FILE) before CALLing PGM(RPG_1) then RPG_1 calls RPG_2 then RPG_2 calls RPG_3 which actually uses X_FILE, is RPG_3 using X_LIBRARY/X_FILE or QTEMP/X_FILE? I believe it should be using QTEMP/X_FILE, but I would just like to have this confirmed.
