I was afraid of that.  I'm testing for performance, so I need to see the 
optimizer working under normal load.

I can copy the files fine, I just can't build a logical.

Rick, you might be able to make test files by using SQL to extract a few 
hundred records from the primary, then use SQL to get matching records, 
based on the join criteria. Of course, the optimizer makes different 
choices based on file size.
