Change ownership of anything to the QUSER group (where it should have been
anyway).
Does this include payroll data, ERP data, CRM data, etc?

Let me guess, menu security, right? ;-)

Re: decommissioning a user

We've built a TRMUSR command. It cleans up most of the stuff that
any user accumulates:

- Password *NONE
- Profile *Disable
- Change ownership of anything to the QUSER group (where it should
have been anyway)
- Copy authority records from several 3rd party application security
files to backup files
- Delete authority records from 3rd party applications.
- Remove from System Directory and Office/400 (*sigh*)
- Delete system user profile

There may be other pieces, but that's the majority of the stuff.

Spool files are left where they are; we use Help Systems' AGEOUTQ
command to make them go away.

We also have RTVUSRAUT command to copy authority for 3rd party
applications back to a live user, once the powers that be decide on a
replacement. ("We just hired Fred. GIve him authority to everything
that Marsha used to do.")
